Mangala Vallis write: "The new Mangala Vallis album is going to be a concept with seven tracks. The title will be Microsolco (Microgroove) and it tells the story of a hacker who on the 21st December 2012 infects the internet with a virus that will eat up all the digital memories and archives of the planet. This is the real end of the world of which everybody has been talking about, the end of this world... but it is the beginnning of a new era..."

Speaking of new eras, the band also announced a new vocalist: "It is with great pleasure that we announce that Roberto Tiranti joined Mangala Vallis and will become our new lead singer/bass player. His musical background is rich and various: in 1996 he becomes a member of New Trolls playing 400 live shows in seven years. Since 1997, he is the lead singer of Labyrinth, a power/prog metal band that released six albums and one mini CD, among tours in Europe, Latin America and Asia.

A poliedric artist, in 2003 Roberto played Ramsete II in the musical I Dieci Comandamenti (The Ten Commandments). He also collaborated with Ken Hensley (Uriah Heep) Ian Paice and Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple), Paolo Siani (Nuova Idea), Mark Boals and Virgil Donati.
