New Web-Radio Show -- Musical Documentary Series: The Evolution of Prog
Date: Sunday, September 09 @ 03:20:16 UTC
Topic: General News

"Presented in 12 2-hour installments, this show will chronologically trace progressive rock's emergence in the music scene in the late 60's all the way through the end of the 70's. It will focus on what I consider to be the seminal events, music and musicians that shaped this new genre as well as offer personal anecdotes of my impressions of living through it at the time," writes CalProg's Jim "PapaJ" Harrel. "We will trace the inception and progression of bands that are now legendary, and try to isolate what it was that made their music magical and timeless.

"The show airs on Thursday nights at 8pm Pacific time starting on September 6, 2007, only at Delicious Agony Progressive Rock Radio. The show will be broadcast live, and there will be active chat during the show. It will also be available after broadcast in archive/podcast (MP3) format on the PapaJ Archives page at CalProg.com.

"I hope you will join us for this informative and entertaining journey through the music that speaks to our hearts and minds."
