Orion Riders publish their first release with the Finnish record label, Lion Music. These guys come from Italy and introduce themselves to us with an album that shows power metal material with some neoclassical atmospheres. This surely is a good power release that all fans of this genre will like.

It's very sad, however, that all the power releases have the same properties and it's very hard to show a strong personality in this range. But if we consider the instrumental parts, these guys from Sicily are very good players and their performances are near to the best ones of the power metal genre. In contrast to some of the other releases from Lion Music, in this case the production is ok. To give an idea of what Orion Riders play, I can say that their music is sometimes similar to Labyrinth, another well-known Italian act.

In my opinion A New Dawn is a good power metal release.
