Frenchman Frédéric Slama has worked as a journalist during the late 70s and has done tremendous efforts to bring the AOR/Westcoast sounds from LA to Europe. He himself has been living in LA for over 10 years and for some reason he is very fond of LA. Check out his discography so far: LA Concession (2000), Next Stop LA (2001) and LA Reflections (2002). And if that is not enough, he just released a new album: Dreaming Of LA, with the cooperation of Steve Lukather (Toto), Bill Champlin (Chicago) Steve Overland (FM, The Ladder) and many more.

Although there are some really good songs on this album, that come very close to progressive rock, the main sound of the album is more pop-music. "Last Day In San Francisco" has a good guitar arrangement, slightly heavier than the rest. But unfortunately I don't find the rest of the songs fitting in the category progressive rock. It's a nice album, good musicians, and if you are a fan of the Bee Gees, Chicago or the more poppy Toto songs, this might be your music.
