Aswani, Prashant - Revelation: Fully Loaded

Year of Release: 2007
Label: Exotic Rhythms Publishing
Catalog Number: PA-777-2103
Format: CD
Total Time: 56:15:00

Originally released in 1998 (titled Revelation), Revelation: Fully Loaded has been remastered and includes three new tracks produced by Aswani.

The opening cut "Seven" lets the listener know immediately that Aswani can shred and scream with a fury. As one would expect with an instrumental album, Aswani does not want to stay in one groove too long. "Seclusion" stays strong, but this time with a bit more jazz flavor, and backing chords of clean chorus drenched effect. The solos veer from melodic and tasteful to warp speed fretwork. His tone and phrasing are top notch, and thankfully this is a full on guitar album; if it's guitar you want, you will not be disappointed.

Producer/musician Greg Howe also shows his goods, trading licks with Aswani on 4 tracks, and these guys will make your head spin. If I may say so, the track "Buzzard" is simply killer. Aswani is getting noticed in the industry as well, having toured and played with some of today's top artists, and has endorsements with ESP Guitars and Peavey Amplification. Aswani has constructed a fun, rocking disc of songs that will delight fans of shred and fusion guitar.
