It seems like yesterday that Ken Golden founded his very own Laser's Edge mail order service, followed by the label of the same name. After a while, Ken saw that prog metal was becoming more and more in fashion and seeing the space this genre demanded in his catalogue he decided to start a new label under the name of Sensory. Till Birth Do Us Part from the Danish band Behind The Curtain opens in a strong classical way with the instrumental "I Believe" in order to arrive on the crossing between Dream Theater and Ritual by means of "Snap." I do have to point out the importance of bass player Kasper Dupont Molin here and the way the deafening music is switched to parts which are dominated by piano. Also in "Artificial Trance" the band swims from one genre to the other. "Dreaming Of A Way" again opens with classical piano and acoustic guitar in time to travel towards "harder" horizons. That same "twist" can be found in "I Lost My Sense Of Passion." And again that impossible to catagorize effect during "Breeze" where time changes follow one after the other. Certainly an album you have to listen to time after time after time before you start getting into it.
