Now, this is yet another melodic speed/powermetal band from Sweden. This is a 5-track demo and was released by the band some time ago. In these days, the band has signed to Massacre Records and the debut is right around the corner. So this will be a preview of what's to come.

This EP includes 5 tracks of well performed, classically influenced speed/power metal. The songs are very guitars based, where the guitars offer plenty of melody. The vocals are somewhat close to being high ranged and the vocal-lines are full of melody. Although the vocals are pretty good, there is room for improvement. As mentioned, the melody-lines are very good as well as the choruses. The use of piano, keys and instrumental parts add the little extra to the songs which make them more varied and interesting. The songwriting and arrangements are very good, which makes them well prepared to enter the studio for the upcoming CD. The production is OK, although it bears evidence of being an independent demo release. I had to give this CD some time to really get into it, but once I did I have to say that I'm very impressed of the material offered here. This is well written, well performed, with good melodies.

If you like speed/powermetal with a strong classical influence, this could be something for you. Well worth checking out! I'm very anxious to hear the upcoming album, hopefully they can maintain this good quality on a full album.
